A:AnswerNo! You just plug it in, push the "on" button and select your level of steam. My old Bissell Steamboost had a trigger and it ended up breaking, so I was glad to see that this model provides automatic steam with a single push of a button.
A:AnswerI wouldn't. Bissell has some wonderful carpet cleaners that are made for carpeting. Before I tore up all my carpeting and replaced with tile and hard wood, I had one and was really happy with the results. I suppose there's nothing wrong with using it on carpet, I just wouldn't expect great results.
A:AnswerThe information booklet says NO. This steam mop gets your floors really clean WITHOUT CLEANERS. Why would you want to use chemicals on your floors? Bissell makes scented distilled water if you want to try that.
A:AnswerYes. I have tile floors with a fairly wide grout line. This steam mop is great for cleaning the tile, which has an irregular surface, and for cleaning the grout.
A:AnswerI paid full price on this mop and got an open box! the box was retapped, there were still some water in the tank, one of the cloths was damped. Best buy refused to exchange to a new one only becasue I was a few days late from the return window. i tried to post the review but best buy never put my review on thier website as they scan the reviews and only choose good ones on the website.
Dont buy this from the best buy unless you want to get something that were used already!
A:AnswerThe discs do not have to be used. There is a slot into which you insert the disc. It is not necessary to use the disc in order for the steam cleaner to work.
