Is there an attachment to clean carpeted steps? null

It has a hose attachment that can spray cleaner. An upside over older models is the brushes on the main vacuum raise up when the machine is in the upright position so they don't spin forever in the same spot.

Yes there is and its the same one you use to do furniture

There’s a long hose and handheld attachment that I believe you could use for your carpeted steps. I don’t have steps so haven’t tried it!
