• I am not sure which type of battery it has because it does not state on the body of the vacuum and I don't have the box. I have not had any problems with the battery and usually leave it plugged in until I use it. I have not had it die on me though after continual use.

• Mine lasted 2.5 years before the battery started to get weak. I leave it plug in all the time.

• No problems with battery. I leave mine plugged in all the time and can use it for all jobs without any slowdown.

• Nicad. You can leave it plugged in, as it will stop charging when full.
