A:AnswerThe motion detection on these cameras is very weak. Most camera mounting locations are going to be 10 feet off the ground, so that eats up 10 feet and then they may reach out another 10 feet if you are lucky. They are worthless. I bought 8 of them and may end up throwing them away.
A:AnswerThe Blink XT, XT2, and legacy Indoor cameras will continue to receive the existing free cloud storage. Any Blink Mini, Blink Indoor and Blink Outdoor system/camera added to a Blink account created after 4/15/2020 will require either local storage via the Sync Module 2 or a subscription for cloud storage to save videos after the free trial of the Blink Cloud Subscription Service has ended.
A:AnswerYou are able to adjust your camera settings, view video clips, receive notifications, and access live view through the App on your compatible mobile device from anywhere as long as you have a WIFI or cellular connection. This is important to note for your cellular data plan, watching a five second motion clip without WIFI connection will use about 750KB of your data plan.
A:AnswerAs long as you have wifi and a compatible mobile device, the Blink Systems/Kits would ship with everything needed to get set-up and started. If you plan to use the local storage option with the sync module 2 you would need to purchase a USB flash drive separately.
The Blink Outdoor cameras have an operating temperature range of -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C). They are IP-65 rated to ensure that the water-resistant unit delivers clear, HD quality video no matter the forecast.
A:AnswerMine pick up motion about 30/40 yards out and sound about 20/30 yards out. The issue you may have is how far the cameras can be from the central HUB they need to communicate with in order to work. The furthest camera from my HUB is less than 30 yards and it works great.
A:AnswerI chose the unlimited cloud because you can have unlimited devices & I have 9 cameras so far. The cost for that is $100.00 yearly. Otherwise you can choose the plan that is $3.00 a month per device
A:AnswerSince Blink has launched a new camera we can expect that the Blink XT2 system might be purposefully out of stock so that they are not competing with their own product. Given that the new camera has the same chip, same battery system, a few software upgrades, a lighter unit (maybe due to cheaper materials), and a required monthly membership for storage (yay! - sarcasm). Even the dullest blade in the room would recognize that their predecessor the Blink XT2 is obviously a better choice, so to not compete with themselves I expected it to be temporarily unavailable..... Maybe permanently. Buy the XT2 if you still can, they are much better as you have the option to not pay a monthly subscription.
A:AnswerI don't think they really answered the question.
Is the Blink Outdoor camera a NEWER model with better features than the XT2 system?
Is it the same camera in just a newer package?
Is the price difference worth the purchase of the Blink Outdoor Camera vs. the older XT-2 technology., or are the y the same?
