    • Answer You can only have one username/email address and password per account however, you can download our app to as many compatible iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices as you’d like, so the entire household can receive alerts or check in at home. When launching the app on additional devices, please use the sign in option to access the account you created on your first Blink connected mobile device. You will not have to go through the setup process again. Please note you will not be able to use Live View from multiple devices at the same time.

  • QuestionIf we purchase the indoor package first, can we add on the XT cameras? And how many can we link together?

    • Answer Yes you can. Although, all the cameras on the base module will be on at the same time. So of you want the outdoor cameras on while your enjoying a nice evening at home, you will be setting off the indoor cameras as you move around the house. Having two base modules allows you to have two sets with separate schedules

  • QuestionAre motion pictures recorded and available (how long) for play back?

    • Answer The Blink cameras when armed record clips based on motion detection. These clips are stored in our secure servers in the cloud not in the cameras accessible only via the Blink Home Monitor APP on your compatible mobile device. Blink’s server provides each Sync Module storage for up to 7,200 total seconds of video (or 1,440 five-second events) for as long as you like (no expiration). If you reach your storage limit, it will automatically delete the oldest clip in order to make room for the next one.

    • Answer The system is a great buy. I purchased three cameras and the hub. Everything is in the package, batteries, connect to Cloud storage, video and record. Just sink them and place. Batteries last 2 years and the video is crystal clear. Motion detection is adjustable. I was away on the weekend and the camera picked up a cockroach walking on the floor!! Amazingly accurate.

    • Answer You would want to make sure that you were purchasing the Blink 1-camera system and not the add-on camera. The System would ship with the sync module needed to operate the cameras, the add-on camera is just the camera that can be added to any existing Blink System it cannot function without the sync module.

    • Answer This is the Blink indoor system. These indoor cameras are not weatherproof and are designed for indoor use, the Blink XT camera is weatherproof, and can be used outside. The Blink indoor cameras also utilize an LED Illuminator in low light or no light situations whereas the Blink XT cameras use IR night vision.

    • Answer Yes the XT2 camera will work with an existing Blink System as it uses the same sync module. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

    • Answer The Blink indoor cameras, are not meant for outdoors however customers have successfully used a Blink indoor camera in protected outdoor areas (such as under an awning, on a covered porch, etc.) as long as it remains dry and within its operating temperature range of 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C). The camera is not waterproof and any exposure to moisture and/or temperatures outside the operating range will void our one-year limited warranty. Our Blink XT and XT2 cameras are water resistant and have an operating temperature of -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C) and can be used outside.

    • Answer Customers who have an account created on or before 4/15/2020 will receive free cloud storage on all devices added to their account going forward – this includes Mini, and Blink Indoor and Outdoor. Separately, any XT2 or 1st generation Indoor cameras added to an account created after 4/15/2020 will receive free cloud storage on those devices, but any Mini and the new Blink Indoor and Outdoor cameras added to that same account will require either local storage via the Sync Module 2 or a subscription for cloud storage to save videos.

  • QuestionCan these cameras be attached to a wall or do they sit on a horizontal top?

    • Answer Should you wish to place the camera anywhere other than a flat surface we do ship each camera with a mount and mounting hardware screws. The use of the included screws would create two holes in the surface in the wall.

    • Answer Here are the Blink System requirements: A non-cellular 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (name and password) and high speed Internet connection (DSL, Cable, Fiber) with a minimum 2 Mbit/sec upload speed. Unfortunately, due to high latency issues, we do not recommend using Blink with Satellite providers. Please note that Blink is unable to gain internet access on networks that require authentication through a third-party login website.

    • Answer The great thing about Blink is that it does not continuously record like other cameras. The camera only turns on when it detects motion or you turn it on to watch Live View, helping to significantly reduce data usage. A five second motion clip with audio takes up 750KB.
