Q: QuestionI live in a townhouse, I'm 78 and never bought one before. I'm on one level and don't know what size to buy. If I put it in my bedroom, will it do other rooms. Or does it have to be moved around?
Asked by sally.
- A:Answer It will not be able to move a lot of volume of air through a doorway. Put it in the largest open space you have but then look at smaller units for a bedroom.

Q: QuestionWhy are there two colors showing on the lighted air quality indicator at times? We have a Health Protect 7470i.
Asked by Sue.
- A:Answer I don't think their manual explains this at all and can't recall the website that explained it. Half the air quality indicator is for airborne particles. The stuff the unit can clean and remove in it's filters. The OTHER half of the light is for VOC. Volatile Organic Compounds. The unit doesn't appear to 'scrub' those but the light indicates that their is an air quality issue.

Q: QuestionBlue air claims the 7400 protect series has been tested by covid on their website. Plus above it states "Traps & kills germ Activated when on standby" Is this true? Can this work on a room 150 sqft?
Asked by Bg.
- A:Answer Thank you for your question! Yes we have had the Protect 7400 series tested in laboratory conditions to remove the SARS-CoV-2 covid virus from the air. It has not been proven to kill or prevent the spread of covid though. Q: QuestionMy unit shows excellent (blue) air quality 99.9% of the time. I've used it in many rooms, even while vacuuming, and I've only had it show yellow for a few seconds. On auto it barely runs and moves any air. Do I even need a purifier if this is the case?
Asked by Snailkite.
- A:Answer Hello, it may in fact be true that your environment is more clean than you think. We suggest doing a test to check if the auto function is faulty. Simply light a candle and match close to the purifier and extinguish it, allowing for smoke to be detected by the Health Protect. Under normal circumstances the Health Protect should be able to pick up the lingering smoke and kick into a higher fan speed. If the problem persists, we suggest arranging for an exchange from the original Best Buy you've purchased from or contact [email protected] and request for a warranty exchange by providing a proof of purchase. We'd be very happy to send you a new one under warranty.

Q: QuestionHi the Blue air 211 seems perfect... but I wonder if it has rollers on bottom or a handle to carry it upstairs..... can you help?
Asked by caj.
- A:Answer Hi, thank you for your feedback, the Blue Pure 211 is a relatively light weight unit, while it does not have rollers or handles for carrying, we suggest simply picking the machine up from the body or base of the machine to ensure the safest transfers.

Q: QuestionCan you turn off the indicator light on top of the unit? Also I don't have wifi for where the unit is operating, if that what it takes.
Asked by JThong.
- A:Answer You don't have to have wi-fi for the unit to work properly. I haven't tried to turn off the indicator light. It would be annoying in a bedroom since it is fairly bright. Mine is in the family room so it 'became' the night light...

Q: QuestionDoes this unit have an ionizer filter?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi, the Blueair's HEPASilent™ technology uses a combination of mechanical and electrostatic filtration to capture and remove particles from indoor air, which it does so specifically and strategically: an ionizer component is designed to only charge particles at a very low current in order to increase the filtration efficiency in the air purifier’s filter and achieve a higher Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR).
