QuestionI am replacing a kitchen-aid dishwasher and would like to make sure all of the connections for the Bosch are in similar places. I don't want to purchase and then find out it won't fit because of a pipe that might be in a different place. Can you help?

- Answer Unlike many machines the hoses run from the front of the machine to the rear of the machine under its main body. Honestly you don't want to reuse old hoses. I know it seems like you are saving money but there are 2 major factors. First old water lines and drain lines fail over time. You will most likely run your dishwasher at night or when you are going out and if the line breaks it can be catastrophic to your home as water surges until you wake up or return. Second you want a clean drain line as over time they collect grease buildup amongst other things which can in turn reduce water discharge flow and operation. Spend the $40 for new hoses, the alternative will cost thousands and even tens of thousands depending on what happens. IF you are not handy have the installers do it for you. They do it over and over again on a daily basis.

QuestionIs air dry an option with this machine? If not, where is the vent for the heated air/moisture located? I have a cabinet at a 90 degree angle to the immediate left of my dishwasher and am concerned about damaging the cabinet.

- Answer The only heat is from the hot water. The heat remains inside of the unit to dry the dishes. No venting at all unless you open the door.

QuestionI have a 12 year old Bosch SHV46C13UC/21 machine that has a custom panel on the door to match our cabinets. 1) will this model; fit in the same space? 2) can the panel be applied and if so, how? 3} am i correct from reading that it has a heated drying?

- Answer You are correct; the machine does have heated drying (and an "extra-dry" setting, as well). Sorry, I don't know the dimensions of your existing dishwasher, nor the answer to your question about the panel.

- Answer It does. The caveat is it doesn't have a heating element. The ambient temperature rises to dry the dishes. Thus, you want to avoid opening the door during a cycle, particularly during the dry cycle. I like it doesn't have the heating element... I don't have to worry about something falling against it and melting. One drawback... I can't tell when it's drying,as there are no indicator lights.

QuestionWhat is the depth of the dishwasher including the bar handle? At what height does the bar handle sit? This dishwasher will be in a corner that will have a drawer that has to open perpendicular to it.

- Answer The depth is 23 3/4". The handle extends about 1 3/4" beyond that. The height of the bottom of the handle is about 32 1/4" from the floor. (The height of the dishwasher, and therefore the height of the handle is adjustable about 1 - 2" I'm guessing.)

QuestionSomebody commented that the dishwasher will beep when done and doesn't stop until turned off. Is there a way to disable this? I'd prefer not to have it beeping all night (well the dog would prefer that anyway).

Per the Use and Care Manual for Model:SHX3AR75UC, here are the instructions for changing options such as turning dishwasher off automatically: For Models without Display To enter options mode: 1.Press the On/Off button to turn the unit on. For models with the buttons on top, the door must be open. For models with the buttons on the front, the door must be closed. 2.One of the wash cycle LEDs will be flashing. 3.Press and hold down the > button, then simultaneously press and release the Start button. Now release the > button. 4.The “Clean” and one other LED (varies by model) will be flashing. You are now in options mode. 5.Press the > button to select the option you would like to adjust. - Answer Hi tucsonbuyer. Thank you for your question. The 100 Series Dishwasher includes a direct power cord with a 3-prong plug. You need to purchase an installation kit for the water inlet hose.

- Answer The unit replaced an older machine so the installation was easy and and there was a sale on with free delivery and installation. However it did require the purchase of an installation kit to replace any of the normal fittings and hoses that would need to be replaced . Also there was a small fee to dispose of the old dishwasher. The work performed was professional , fast and well worth the extra $45 cost to me.

- Answer Manually set up P 01 mode. Read the manual page 38 Auto power off This setting determines the length of time the control panel stays illuminated after the cycle is complete. To save energy the recommended setting is ̃:‹‚. This setting can be adjusted from ̃:‹‹ to ̃:‹ƒ. ̃:‹‹ dishwasher does not turn off automatically ̃:‹‚ dishwasher turns off automatically after 1 minute....
