- Answer The Best Buy specs are wrong. The only Bosch dishwasher that is compatible with an app is the 800 series.

QuestionWe need a new dishwasher, we recently had ceramic tile and cement board installed. The measurement from the tile to the underside of the counter top is 33 1/4”. If a dishwasher is 33 3/4” can the legs be raised as high as possible and fit into the space?

- Answer Hi Carter. Thank you for your question. Per your question, the dishwasher is one half inch taller than the space you have indicated, in which case this dishwasher would not fit. We do have a dishwasher available that is 32 1/16" H with adjustable feet. That model is SGE53X55UC.

QuestionDo users have access to the filter inside the machine, to clean it out easily? (In many dishwashers the filter is inaccessible, but I've heard Bosch allows easy access.)

- Answer yes. there is a filter in the floor of the machine. you twist a knob to remove and clean it. no tools needed.

QuestionWhat are the differences between the 300 and 800? The only difference I see is the decibel level, 44 vs 42. Is that the only difference? Or is the 800 a much better machine in other ways?

- Answer As I understand it, you're basically getting more "configurability" in the racks, and maybe an additional washing mode. Not much really!

QuestionDo i need to purchase installation kit separately or does it come with the dishwasher?

- Answer I am answering as if you are replacing a dishwasher, you do not need anything (if running new you need the install kit, water connection, electrical outlet etc.). The only issue was the existing dishwasher hardwired or plugged in? If the latter again nothing needed as a cord is included. If hardwired you will need to buy a cord, note the dishwasher end has a specific shape so generic will probably not work.

- Answer Heavy 2:15. 2:30 with extra dry option on Normal 2:15, 2:35 with extra dry option on Speed60 1:00, 1:24 with extra dry option on Rinse :09, NA Auto varies with load size and dish dirtiness Please note that these are with immersive dry option left off as default from manufacturer. Times are longer if this is turned on.

QuestionWhat’s a junction box that you have to buy separately?

- Answer Many dishwashers are hardwired directly into a juction box built into the dishwasher. Bosch, and other European makes, have a cord with a plug, so you have to have an outlet near the dishwasher and hidden behind a cabinet to plug it in. Its not a big deal for an electrician. If you are replacing a dishwasher that was direct wired, an electrician can just take the wire that was hooked to the old dishwasher and wire an outlet near the new dishwasher to plug it into.

QuestionThe specifications indicates this has Heated Drying. It also shows up in a search for "Bosch" and "Heated Drying". It's my understanding Bosch models do no have heated drying. What's the real story? The search results appear to be misleading. Thanks.

- Answer This dishwasher does not have a heating element. The steam dries the dishes. I leave the door closed about 30 minutes after cycle is complete and dishes are dry. Sometimes cups need a quick towel to dry water that settles on the top. I don’t miss a drying element at all.

QuestionI typical run my dishwasher every 3 days. Is this a problem the Bosch condensation without venting design ? I'm concerned that residual moisture left in the D/W will result in mold and odor problems.

- Answer Hi Resh, thank you for your question regarding Model:SHEM63W55N. Per the Use and Care Manual: Auto Power Off: This setting determines the length of time the control panel stays illuminated after the cycle is complete. To save energy the recommended setting is P:01. This setting can be adjusted from P:00 to P:02. To change the setting: 1. Press the On/Off button. 2. Hold down the function key and press the Start button until the display indicates d:0x (x can be any number). 3. Release both buttons. 4. Press the function key # until the display indicates P:0x. 5. Press the function key 3 until the display corresponds with your requirements. 6. Press the Start button. - Answer Hi stonypoint. Thank you for your question. The biggest difference between the two is the 500 Series now has our new AutoAir. AutoAir is an Option that when chosen opens the door partially once the interior cools to 118 degrees to allow the warm moist air to escape and the cool ambient air to enter the dishwasher to continue drying the dishes. The 500 Series also has a flexible third rack which has sides that flip down to add extra space for larger utensils.
