dishwasher should have insulated barrier, should not even come in contact with counter top when closed.

We have had no issues with steam since we do wait until the next day to unload, but so far nothing has escaped the washer. We were concerned about this since we have butcher block countertops.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Our 300 series has no steam vent. There is an option to turn on immersive heat option (defaulted off by manufacturer) that raises water temp to 160 degrees. No issues with countertops or heat on them.
