I don't know how you would move it without the rear wheels. I think that would cause you more problems. See if you can carve out that extra 1/4 inch in height. That would be a much better option. I have an exactly 72 inch height cutout, and it fits like a glove with perhaps 1/8 inch allowance for the hinge. The door would be hitting the cutout if I pushed it back that far. So maybe you would get by with an additional 1/8 inch, but I can't be certain. Also, you should allow a little clearance for the refrigerator to breath properly.

The wheels are only on the front of the unit, there are none on the back and due to the hinges, it is actually shorter in the back.
