“I'm buying this fridge but do not want the ice maker in freezer nor water filter in fridge. Can they be removed and if so how? And do the places they are taken from need to be capped off? Thanks”

I purchased the fridge with the ice maker but didn't want to use the freezer for making ice. So I asked the delivery men not to connect the water to the fridge. Fortunately this fridge has a control on the inside of the fridge where you can press a button to have the ice maker on or off. That was another good reason that I like this fridge so much more than other ones.

Hi there. Thank you for your question. Per the Installation Guide for the 800 Series French Door Refrigerator there are no instructions for removal of the ice maker nor the water filter. Please contact our Customer Support Team at 1-800-944-2904 for further help with this.
