• it is my understanding that it is not infarct an iOS issue but an issue with the ear buds themselves. I have exchanged 5 pairs in 4 months due to a short (static in the right ear, audible announcing of tracks and albums and the remote itself stops working) within a month of purchase/exchange. Note, I have had ONLY the Apple version and I have not tested the Android version. Best of luck!
