So if you don't have EQ balanced high volume will sound bad because certain sounds will be too high and wash out the others. Same for low volume. You need power to be individually set for as many frequency level as you can sample for the best sound quality. Apparently these do EQ built in for you so all you have to do is the volume and it knows how to shift the power to each frequency. (The long answer)
