“My husband and I both have difficulty hearing. It is hard for us to make out what they are saying, so my question is, would you recommend the Bose solo 5 or Samsung 3.1 for our situation.”

I have bought both products before and i can tell you that you will get more power/bass with the 3.1 soundbar. However the 3.1 soundbar doesn't have dialog mode whereas the solo 5 does.. This helps you hear words better while still being clear. The solo 5 is also best used for small rooms because it has a lot less power. I personally bought the solo 5 and returned it for a bose solo 15 model because of how much more volume i can get from it. I also bought the 3.1 Samsung for the living room and it is tremendously loud.
