Not very well. That's the beauty of them. You don't have to have something stuck in your ear while you are at work. And you can hear the stuff really well, but it does not affect your room mate if you share an office.

While testing them in the store at a modest volume about 10 to 12 feet before nothing could be heard. One person mentioned his coworker could hear the sound in the next cubicle but either he really had them turned up or it wouldn't have been any louder than someone typing on a keyboard.
