“I have two convertible automobiles wherein it is hard to hear stock speakers in car at higher speeds . Is this speaker practical for convertible car use and, if so, at what speeds is it worthwhile assuming top and all windows down? Thanks”

I have a high performance open air sports car (read-Loud) and love to use the Soundwear when driving with the roof open. The sound is great and better for calls than the car sound system.

I know that's a bit different, but since I can hear it just fine over a loud diesel engine, I'd imagine it could work for you as well. What helps it defeat some environmental sounds is the fact that the speakers are pointed directly at your ears so it basically creates a cone of sound around your head. So while I can't speak to your exact situation, I would say it's worth a shot.
