I don’t recommend using them laying down. They will not line up correct to your ears. Plus they would be very uncomfortable if you lay on them.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't wear mine in bed but a friend and co-worker has done so and says he felt no discomfort. His neck is probably on the small side. Mine is around 19" or so but the Bose²® Soundwear Companion™ fits me well and is comfortable enough for me to wear for several hours. I just haven't fallen asleep with it on. Yet. ;-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It sits around your neck and takes a bit of adjustment to get used to, but you eventually do and then it's just like a collar. The sound is fantastic and doesn't cut you off from the real world. You can lie down with it on and there should be no discomfort. It just lies there nicely like a good electronic pet.
