This one opens to acomodate phone with case. Opens really big.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a S8 with a regular case. The "jaws" open pretty wide, don't think it will be a problem. The only "issue" I have is the holder clamps are are angled inward so when I'm trying to type it's hard to reach the keys on the edges. Other than that its great!

The fully expanded holder is approximately 3.25" wide between the interior cushions, with maybe just a tiny bit more to squeeze (making it max out at nearly 3.5"). That should be enough to hold a Galaxy S9+ with an Otterbox Defender series case. To be on the safe side, I'd probably remove the case before mounting.
