“Have a MacBook Pro, bought a Brother DS-920DW Mobile Scanner, will not work, connect or scan in any way. Called Brother, they said CD that comes with Scanner isnt compatible w/My Mac - how do I return; get an Apple compatible Scanner?”

I know this is an old post, but just to get the correct info out there: the DS mobile 920DW works just fine with the MacBook Pro. I use it daily. Make sure your scanner is set to PC (hold down the OK button until the display shows "PC"). Download the DSMobieCapture app for MacBook. Don't use the disk that came with it, those drivers are outdated. The only thing that doesn't work on MacBook Pro is the Button Manager, which wasn't that important anyway. I am using a 2016 MBP running Big Sur (11.3.1).

You have to download the DSMobile software from Brother. Bad news is that it is confirmed to crash on install for macOS 10.14 and later. So the only answer is to scan to the SD card and the import the files from the SD card. This is not a Mac friendly scanner.
