- Answer Brother does recommend using a mobile hotspot connectivity, as this type of connection tends to not be stable and we cannot guarantee compatibility with certain mobile hotspots. We recommend instead using the Wireless Direct included with the Brother DS-940DW scanner. Wireless Direct allows you to connect the scanner to your mobile device directly without a Wi-Fi access point/router

- Answer Yes, I do that. I can do it wired, or wireless. 1-Open Brother software on your Mac. 2-It connects. 3-Scan first page and the software asks if you want to add a page, click that. Then once all the pages are scanned in, save to desired location. I put it in "Temporary" file I made on my Mac. then I open that document in preview, or drag into mail.
