“In previous question it was asked about cartridges drying up & the answer was if continually connected to power they’re not at risk. What happens if unit is temporarily disconnected from power for an outage ~ cartridges still ok? I have had this problem.”

Having power has nothing to do with the cartridges drying up. Inkjet printer, the ink will clog if they are not used almost weekly. If they go longer, the print head will clog. Sometimes they can be be cleaned but if they dry up for too long they can’t. One trick is to go to the big search engine that starts with a G and print their name in color once a week and that normally will keep them from clogging.
