A:AnswerOn their packaging, Café Smart describes it as “brushed copper.” Bronze is an alloy consisting primarily of copper though, so I don’t think that they would clash at all. Especially if your kitchen fixtures are a burnished bronze. To be honest our cabinet handles are brushed nickel so I was a bit concerned it would look odd. The handle of the coffee maker doesn’t show up that much because all our appliances are black. Bronze is much less of a contrast. Even if you’re getting the white or stainless steel machine against which the handle would stand out more.

A:AnswerHello Ivy - Thank you for your interest in the C7CDAAS4PW3; we are happy to help! This coffee maker does not brew cold coffee. Thanks for checking! Olga
A:AnswerThe machine is just over 14 inches tall. There is a hinged "flap" over the reservoir that must be opened to refill. With it opened, it is about 20" tall. If your cabinets are at least 20" over counter, you should be able to refill it while stationary.
A:AnswerHi there,
This coffee maker has neither an espresso nor a cold brew option. In fact they recommend using at least medium grounds in it as fine grounds are more likely to lead to an overflow of grounds back into the machine or possibly even into your coffee. Ech.
To cold brew you don’t really need a machine. Anything that can hold water can be used to cold brew given time for coffee and water to co-mingle. I’ve seen people with cold brew setups that were over 4 feet and looked like art pieces, and I’ve seen (many more) people who just had a jar in their fridge that they filled with water and grounds at the beginning of the week, then poured through a small filter over their mugs as needed. You can also steep them overnight, it’s just a matter of the ratios. But a machine adds the element of heat, so as far as I know probably wouldn’t do much for cold brewing. A nice burr grinder would be nice though. I’ve heard the Fellow Ode Brew burr grinder is very nice.
Hope that helps!
A:AnswerI make a 10-cup pot each morning and it takes about 5, maybe 6 minutes to brew that on the standard Gold setting. One of the machines we tried just before this but had to send back was a BUNN which was designed to keep the water warm in a completely dark, unwashable reservoir all day. Not only is this a great way to waste energy but the water in coffee makers doesn’t boil, and warm/hot, dark, stagnant conditions are ideal for growing funk. But you’d never know that funk was there. De-scaling with vinegar is just meant to remove mineral build up. And it’s remarkable what gets into the reservoirs of coffee makers over time no mater how careful people are with coffee grounds, etc. This reservoir can’t be removed but it can be seen entirely and cleaned fairly easily which was a big selling point for us after the previous experience.
A coffee machine with a reservoir that stays warm and full makes sense if it’s always flowing in a high volume environment, but for once or twice daily use it’s a health hazard.
A:AnswerNo. The coffee maker handle is based on the color of the pot you select. For example, the matte black coffee maker comes with the copper color handle and accents. We found that it still looks great even if your kitchen uses the other handle colors.
A:AnswerHi DDandPops, thanks so much for your question! We'd be happy to help clear thing up for you. The power cord for this coffeemaker is supposed to be black. A:AnswerHello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this amazing drip coffee maker. I'm sorry to hear that your coffee is not as hot as expected, we can understand your frustrations. The temperature setting is based on the temperature of the water when they contact the coffee grounds. The temperature will be lower in the carafe at the end of the brew. Because of this, checking the temperature with a thermometer is not an accurate way to verify temperature. This being said, we would like to recommend increasing the temperature a small amount to see if this helps. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to us over email or social media. -Avery
A:AnswerHello Dylan - Thank you for your interest; we are happy to help. You cannot connect a water line to this coffee maker. We are glad you checked! Olga
A:AnswerThe café representative says this is brushed bronze? But I thought only brushed copper was made, which is very disappointing. Who even likes copper???? Gold is what all companies should be making. Not copper lol.
A:AnswerHello CoffeeYumYum - We are glad to hear that you love your coffee maker! Thank you for your question; we are glad to assist. There is not a specific recommendation for descaling or for changing the filter. It should be done as needed, depending on the quality of your water supply and how frequently the coffeemaker is used. If you have very hard water or just poor water in your area, you might find you need to descale and/or change the filter once a month. If your water is good, every few months (or more) may be all you need. We are sorry to hear that the scheduler on the app does not work and is buggy. Please contact our Connected Home Team for assistance with the app. They can be reached at at 1-800-220-6899, Monday -Friday 9am - 11pm ET, Saturday - Sunday 9am - 3pm ET, or email [email protected]. Wee hope this helps. Thanks for checking! Olga
