• No! I absolutely love this appliance! I’ve made everything from grilled cheese to T-bones on it and it never smoked. Very convenient and the removable grates are super easy to clean! Highly recommended purchase!!!

• Yes, on the settings I have used 350 to 450 degrees it does when grilling items such as steak or hamburger.

• If you are burning whatever youre cooking it produces smoke but otherwise in my experience it doesnt just randomly produce smoke.

• it does but not so much that will cover your kitchen area. But then it depends on how much you are cooking since you can use both top and bottom as a griddle. I cooked a total of 8 burgers and it has some smoke but not too bad....
