• A:Answer The 80D is SD only. I believe only the Canon 5D still uses a CF card. SD cards are quite fast today and a "Speed Class 10", or 1U will handle the read and write speed of the camera. No need for a faster card as the camera doesn't write faster. It can use a SD, SDHC, or SDXC.

• A:Answer Can't talk about the 5d but the other I presume is a Rebel camera. The 80D is light years above the rebel. The 5D if I'm not mistaken is the next level up. The most notable differences for me were price, and capability. You should do a camera comparison, but I believe that the 80D has higher megapixels and does 7 fps continuously (depending on your storage card).

Q: QuestionAre you able to take full body portraits that are blurry with the autofocus system from a fairly decent distance? If not are there any recommended lens I could buy to take full body portraits that blurr the background with the autofocus system.

• A:Answer Your "blurriness at depth" is more a by product of your aperture setting the nut lens or autofocus. If you have the camera in any manual mode and run the aperture up to a high f stop your background will be very blurry. Now the rage of aperture available is dependent on the lens, but almost never standard lens will give you enough adjustment to get a blurred background. That being said... All lenses or cameras for that matter... When you increases aperture you are making the hole light comes in smaller. So to still get good exposure you need to slow your shutter speed down. This may result in photos where everything is blurred if the person you are photographing or if the camera moves. That's why pros put camera's on tripods and tell you to hold still while they take the picture. I am highly over simplifying this topic, but in short... Yes. It will do it. But you will have to go manual and figure out how to use the camera like a professional would. (Is it YouTube for tutorial videos).

• A:Answer yea its a great camera although its not the camera that causes the blurriness its the lens. The type of camera would only produce a better quality, i would recommend you purchasing another camera lens with a smaller aperture ( helps with blurred / auto focus ) even tho the lens it comes with is great.

Q: QuestionI have a canon t3i, im looking at getting the 80D...how much better is the low light (high ISO) performance compared to the T3i? How high can I push the ISO before noise becomes an issue..at 400 on my T3i is when noise becomes an issue.

• A:Answer I don't shoot youtube videos but I would think this would be a bit of overkill. I would get one of the mirrorless cameras instead. As far as tripods, if you do get the 80D I would make sure to get something sturdy. You'll want to spend at least $50 on a good tripod. Manfrotto is a good brand and so is Sunpak Hope this helps

Q: QuestionOk-I am new to the DSLR. My Canon is an OLD A1 with 35mm lens (yes, it takes roll film). My question: I have a SIGMA Zoom75-300mm lens that I've used with this camera. The 35mm lens says 'KALT' on it. Are these lens compatible with this camera?

• A:Answer I don't believe you can. You need a lens that is EF or EF-S compatible. However, you may be able to get an adapter.

• A:Answer Every camera has an increase of noise as you raise the ISO. If your looking for an answer that is measurable, I would go to DP review and look at their full review of the camera. That are by far the gold standard when it comes to ridiculously in-depth camera reviews and comparison.
