“Does Canon make a comparable printer to the G6020 that does NOT have automatic shutoff. Would be very inconvenient to have to go to the printer and turn it on prior to printing, especially since alot of projects will be sent from my iPhone.”

No need to buy another printer, on the G6020 Turning on Printer Automatically You can enable the printer to turn on automatically when printing data is sent to the printer. Check that printer is turned on. Press the Setup button. The Setup menu screen is displayed. Select ECO settings and then press the OK button. Select EnergySaveSettings and then press the OK button. Select Auto power on and then press the OK button. Select ON and then press the OK button. Have not tried it with an iphone but works with everything else I have.
