A:Answer Use your application's "Printing preferences", "Page Setup" tab, "Print Options..." button, "Print With:" drop down box, select "Only PGBK (Black)".
However, you must have cartridges in ALL the slots. Remember to change this back to "All Colors (Default)" when you want to print in color.
WARNING: if the printer says an ink cartridge is low, pause printing and then replace the cartridge(s). You can soon damage your print head if you continue to "print" with an empty cartridge (overheats!). If you don't have a replacement cartridge, you can select to print with only the Big black cartridge, or print with all the smaller cartridges.
