A:AnswerFocus is pretty good. In lower light I have had it struggle once or twice, mainly pulling focus to an area with the best contrast, but overall, I'm very happy with it. I'm very glad I didn't buy the first G7x, as this was a bigger problem from what I've read, as well as the raw buffer was horrible. Filling the buffer now when shooting raw+jpg takes numerous shots, but once full, the camera will freeze until it can complete writing the data files.

A:AnswerYou have to manually release the flash. It can also be tilted for bouncing off the ceiling. I will forget from time to time and try to use some flash controls and wonder why it won't pop up, only to remember that you have to release the flash from a button on the side. Flash coverage is fairly good though.
