No, it doesn't dry out. I have gone months in between printing & it printed just as well as it did on Day 1. Most cartridges can print 108 4"x6" photos. If you print smaller photos, you can get so many more!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a ribbon-based printer. Ribbons don't dry out like an inkjet printer does. No clogged heads either, as that is not the type of technology in use here. It will print one color at a time. With layering, it creates the color print. It does NOT have a black ribbon panel. You will get composite black which uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow to make something close to black. The finishing layer is transparent and meant to seal the colors for extended print life and adding goofy textures. Look on YouTube for reviews of its functions from professional photographers. You will usually get a qualified, meaningful review from people who know what they are talking about.
