• Yes it has an el backlight activated with the g button on the front and auto el function toggled on or off by holding the same button down which automatically activates the backlight when it is dark and you tilt the watch towards you

• A light like on your smart phone? No. but you can bring up an app with a white background and the light cast from the watch face gives you enough light to walk by in the dark (barely). Hope this helps.

• The watch has a back light that lights up on button press and wrist shake (this can be changed in the options menu)
