• Air vents out the sides. Any position is good for air frying. All the levels work great. If you're only using one level, you can place it in the middle if you feel better about it. It really does a good job frying at any level. If you are baking or broiling you may want to use another level. Baking I would use the middle level and broiling I would use one of the lower levels just so I can keep an eye on it better.
