how does this hook up to a telephone null

It goes between the handset and the telephone instrument. You would unplug the handset from the phone and plug the handset into the Clarity; you then plug a separate cord (provided) from the Clarity into the telephone connector .

You unplug the handset from the main phone and plug it into the socket on the front of the Clarity labelled "handset". You plug the cord provided with the clarity into the socket labelled "telephone ' and the other end into the main phone instrument. It automatically turns on when the phone is used. Adjust volume and tone to suit.
