“How does this connect to the fuse box. If it connect to the fuse box, does it supply power to dash cam in parking mode. Will it protect battery draining. If camera has constant power, how does it know to start recording when the car is started and drived”

You'll need multimeter to find a empty slot (or get a slot tap) that provides constant power or tap into an existing wire that gives constant power. It will not protect battery draining but unless you don't plan on driving door a week+, you should be fine. Otherwise unplug the camera if you know you will be parked for some time. The camera starts on motion detect and stops on one minute after motion stops. It will continue scanning for motion and/or the shock sensor, if either trigger it will start recording again.
