The cable is more than long enough to reach from my fuse box to passenger side and around the window to my mirror. I did knock it a stars because I felt for the price it could have included an add a circuit or been a bit cheaper and having an option to buy the correct add a circuit for your fuse type. The instructions are to remove the fuse and just wrap the positive wire around one of the posts and plug it back in. For me this was not an option as my vehicle uses low profile mini fuses. If you are going to use this product I highly recommend purchasing an add-a-circuit to tap into the fuse box.

Q: QuestionHow does this connect to the fuse box. If it connect to the fuse box, does it supply power to dash cam in parking mode. Will it protect battery draining. If camera has constant power, how does it know to start recording when the car is started and drived

- A:Answer You'll need multimeter to find a empty slot (or get a slot tap) that provides constant power or tap into an existing wire that gives constant power. It will not protect battery draining but unless you don't plan on driving door a week+, you should be fine. Otherwise unplug the camera if you know you will be parked for some time. The camera starts on motion detect and stops on one minute after motion stops. It will continue scanning for motion and/or the shock sensor, if either trigger it will start recording again.

- A:Answer Yes it will work its universal to any vehicle, the red wire plugs into a fuse and the black wire is simply grounded to the vehicle.
