• A:Answer This is a transmitter upgrade to the one that comes with the original remote start, if your car has a compustar remote starter already installed then this can be used if you swap out the original antenna with the one that comes with the upgrade and it gives you a mile range. • A:Answer If you have Total tech than any tech you buy at best buy will be installed for free, if not there is a charge. Not sure exact price but was around $130. That is for only one install where if you spend 200 for the total tech yearly membership all your installation is free. No limit
