• A:Answer To me, which program is better is subjective. Both with do the same things. That is, creating and editing document. I have been using WordPerfect since the days of DOS and feel that WordPerfect is more intuitive than others I've tried. WordPerfect makes it very easy to find and remove codes for removing unwanted fonts and commands to get the visual results people want. In my experience, this is easier in WorpPerfect than Word. And, of course, there are people who might argue that they prefer Word over WordPerfect.

• A:Answer For sure! I have been using WP for more than 35 years, and ALL older files can be readily imported to newer versions of the program, with formatting intact. And, you can save new files in the old WP 5 format if so inclined. All versions from about WP 8 (not x8!) onward use the same formatting codes.

• A:Answer "can this be used on mutipl" I assume you mean one copy on multiple computers. No - each copy is licensed for installation on a single computer. It gets activated by communication back to Corel - if you try to activate it on more than one machine, you will get a message about number of activations exceeded. Of course, if you buy multiple copies, you can install them on several machines, and exchange the files (WordPerfect, Quattro, ...) created on each one with no problem.

• A:Answer I don't have a Chromebook, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Comes with a CD for installation, but for Chromebooks with no CD drive, you can plug in an external drive or use the web address and access code included with purchase to download the software.
