Hi, It'd be for systems that support PCIe 4 NVMe drives. That could potentially mean a laptop, although I'm uncertain any support PCIe 4.0 speeds at this time, or the heatsink. I usually recommend our MP510 for laptop use as long as the connectivity is, of course, existent. If you have more specific questions, please reach out: support.corsair.com
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should fit inside a laptop if the laptop has a nvme slot. However make sure the laptop supports pcie gen 4 and a heatsink for this ssd. The heatsink that comes with the ssd is likely too thick for the laptop. The ssd runs hot without the heatsink. If the laptop doesn't support pcie gen 4, then I would look for a gen 3 nvme option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's about an inch thick with the heat sink - I can't imagine it fitting in a laptop. Also, it has a big heat sink for a reason: it gets pretty toasty, so even if it could fit, it would probably be a bad idea, given the more constricted space and airflow. Check out the WD Black NVME drives, they make one with a lower-profile heatsink for laptops - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-black-sn750-nvme-ssd-500gb-internal-pci-express-3-0-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-for-laptops/6338994.p?skuId=6338994
