If the claimed write endurance, which is quite good, is indicative of its life span, that will help justify the cost further. In terms of use, it's what you'd expect - it's an SSD. A fast SSD. If you're migrating over from another HDD/SSD, Corsair does provide a utility to clone your drive so that you can skip the process of re-installing your OS, applications, files, etc. Unfortunately, I kept getting errors with the supplied Corsair utility. Fortunately, MiniTool Partition Wizard did the trick without fuss and the free version is all you need.

Great SSD

If you have an X570 get it. Not much more expensive than previous generations of SSDs in similar capacity, and delivers throughput as advertised. Gets a little warm so place in an area with some decent airflow if possible. I opted to use the Corsair heat sink vs. using the motherboard's. Easy install with Windows 10 and done in under 5 minutes with a USB and this beast. Enjoy!

Blazing fast

It works fantastic and on benchmark I’m getting 4,200 Mbps read, 4,125 Mbps write. This thing flies. It’s a little on the pricey side but it’s worth it to me

Great Choice in M.2 Drive

It is awesome to have this on a X570 with PCIe 4.0 board. It is a little pricey but I waited until there was a sale and I had rewards points saved.

I wish PC games took true advantage of these super fast speeds but we’ll have to wait a little while longer. This replaced a much slower SSD as my main drive and i havent looked back

But... it doesn’t fit in a asus x570 Hero mother board properly. You have to remove the heatsink “which is kind of a pain” and use the on board asus heatsink which is also fine. Asus should start including the correct standoff to make this fit if you prefer to use the heatsink your paying for.

Backwards compatible with Z390 chipset motherboard

But I don't have a system like that. I installed this drive in an Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-fi) motherboard. I ended up leaving the motherboard's NVME heat sink off since this drive includes its own heat sink. It performs great!

But way better than older SSD's. Game time loads blazing fast. File transfers are instant, between folders on the same drive. Couldn't be happier with its performance. Will be grabbing a second one to expand my storage.

I was able to remove heat sink to make it fit my motherboard. Very simple to remove just unclip the bottom from the top. I recommend for anyone looking to upgrade your PC.
