• If you have a motherboard the will let you alter fan speeds or fan curves you do NOT need the Corsair controller or software. If you MB does not have these features you can get a 3rd software to control your fans, but if you want the features of IQue by Corsair you will be the controller and software. The controller and software has great and robust features but I do not think it is worth it if you are getting the white LED fans.

• Speeds have to be controlled via a PWM header or the Commander Pro.

• Commander pro is not needed. I am currently controlling with fan Xpert

• I have the 120 controlled from my bios, and two 140’s connected to the commander pro, and they all work flawlessly.
