QuestionDo you need the commander pro in order to control the speeds or can it be done with just the software??

- Answer If you have a motherboard the will let you alter fan speeds or fan curves you do NOT need the Corsair controller or software. If you MB does not have these features you can get a 3rd software to control your fans, but if you want the features of IQue by Corsair you will be the controller and software. The controller and software has great and robust features but I do not think it is worth it if you are getting the white LED fans.

- Answer Dear RS; The power source uses a power draw of 0.299 Amps. It has a 4-pin fan connector, 5-year warranty, and is one the best fans on the market. A++. Hope that helps.

- Answer Depending which pins you connect it to you can. Case, and pump with both have their own settings, you may need to adjust it through bios depending where you plug it.

- Answer It may light up but you won't get full fan functionality. The 4 pin adapter allows you to control the rate at which the fans spin which is must better for sound efficiency and customization.

- Answer 120mm, if you look in your computer case all rear exhaust fans are either 120mm or 140mm so that'll give you an idea of how big the fan is.

- Answer The lights are run directly through the fans power. Nothing extra other than turning the fan on, but this means you can’t turn the off if the fan is running.

- Answer You can, but it will run at full speed, and this fan is very loud at full speed. If you need to connect it to an LC_PUMP slot you should probably get a lower RPM fan. I learned this from experience. Also, my fan died around 8 months from being connected to an LC_PUMP slot. Probably since it was running at full speed all of the time.

- Answer Can't turn off the fan light but if you connect it to your motherboard then you will need to use the motherboard corresponding software for fan control, it is also usually in the bios

- Answer yes! you gotta have the full system to do so. aint gonna have that opt if u just plug it in on your mobo.
