In order to answer this it is needed to know what motherboard you are using, both make and model. That said, this is something you can answer on your own. You need to go to your motherboard manufacturer's website and check their qualified vendor list (qvl). In particular you are looking at the memory support by CPU list. Each family of Ryzen processors are rated to work with particular speeds and timings of ram. Example: I have an ASUS Crosshair VII Hero paired with a Ryzen 7 3700X. I used to have a 2700X, which is now my wife's computer with an MSI B350-M Gaming Pro. She has a kit of Corsair Vengeance Pro 3000MHz, but which only works at 2933 for her. That same kit would not work past 2666MHz on my motherboard at all. However, 3000MHz is the absolute upper limit of ram speed that the 2000 series can handle, and even then it's tricky. With the 3700X I'm running a kit of G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz which the 2000 series would never have been able to get to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DO NOT MIX RAM!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Everything about the HARDWARE aspect needs to match, (i.e make sure each stick has the same CAS latency, timings, DDR3 vs DDR4, and voltage) otherwise you could run into problems. These things can be tweaked in the BIOS, but it is recommended you get the same RAM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, this ram works well with ryzen. they overclock well to. anymore questions you might have, just ask me on here. but do not mix ram brands or speeds or timings. use one or the other, i recommend these corsair vengeance rgb pro sticks. they work great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi David, I'm afraid we can't guarantee any 2 separate kits working well/at all together as they're not tested together at the factory. If you have any other questions please contact us: support.corsair.com
