“Do I need to use the full balance in a month or can I carry it to the next month”

You can carry the balance over to the following month.

I believe once you put the code in it automatically takes the whole amount the card is worth and applies it to your cricket account. I am pretty sure if your bill is 30 bucks and the refill is 40 bucks... Whatever is left over will be applied to your next bill automatically.

Once you add it, I think it will deduct whatever your monthly payment is, and if there's some credit left I'm thinking it will carry to next month.

You will have a credit balance for the next month. You don't lose it.

if there is any balance left from the card, it should automatically apply it to the next month or issue a refund.
