    • Answer Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us, We have Crucial X10 pro not Crucial X10 Pro for Mac. We had only X9 Pro for Mac, which has been discontinued. There is not any difference between X10, X10 Pro and X9 Pro for Mac. The X9 Pro for Mac will come preformatted in APFS, for quicker out-of-the-box support for MacOS features optimized for that. You may reformat this freely, as well as format any of our other portable models to this from ExFAT. However, we provide free software tools that you can download from Crucial.com to enhance your experience: - Acronis® True Image – For easy data cloning and backup. - Crucial Storage Executive – For firmware updates and SSD optimization. - Crucial Portable SSD Utility (Version 0.2.0 for Windows) – Allows you to manage password lock/unlock and LED on/off features (multi-language support). The Crucial X10 4TB Portable SSD CT4000X10SSD9 is compatible with Mac. It ships in exFAT format and can be reformatted into NTFS, APFS, HFS, HFS+J or other formats. Re-formatting will result in loss of data from the drive.
