“Does this have a USB slot I need it for extra storage on my TV box”

It's USB-C, so I use a USB-C to USB-A cable

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us, Crucial X9 External SSD has USB C type port which you can connect by USB type C cable, If your system does not have USB type C port then you need to by an external adaptor USB type A to type C. Also, you may need an additional powered USB C hub to connect the SSD to his TV to get that recognized. Most TV USB ports do not supply very much power so that might honestly be the issue here.
