    • Answer It is a TLC NAND, so if you plan on filling this frequently (such as with high-resolution photography/videography) you might want to consider a different storage solution. These inexpensive portables are generally geared for simply storing data over relatively long periods of time, not meant for temporarily storing massive data. There are MLC and SLC NANDs capable of similar read/write speeds but they are quite expensive and generally meant for industry-specific applications.

  • QuestionI bought this drive because it is advertised that it comes with password protection. I downloaded the storage executive program and don't see how to add password protection to it. I am using the drive with a windows 11 home computer.

Storage executive is for SSD optimization and firmware updates. it does not have the encryption feature. We are still working on developing and testing the encryption software to ensure its quality and reliability. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. In the meantime, we suggest that you use BitLocker, a built-in encryption feature of Windows, to protect your data. BitLocker can encrypt the entire drive or specific partitions, and it can also use a password or a recovery key to unlock the drive.
