• The discs (2) are double sided. Each disc has the slicing blade one side and the shredding holes on the flip side. The discs are medium and fine.

• No, it comes with 2 disks and both have multiple purposes of either slicing or shredding. Note that for the shredding you just make sure to flip the grating holes up.

• Wife says it has 2 sizes of discs, one side shreds and the other side slices.
