Yes. I updated this pc with a with a 480GB solid state - it works great. It was the best upgrade. I don't regret. As far as the 800 watt goes I'm not sure why you couldn't. It's a pc - you can upgrade whatever you want!

The power supply is just standard 80 plus certified and not gold or platinum and is from an OEM manufacturer.
