A:Answer Generally speaking, no it doesn't really matter as long as the connections are correct. However, with that said I also wouldn't want a cheap small monitor for gaming or 3D modeling either. For example: I've got a 27" Asus with Vsync that I purchased years ago as an investment and it's been serving me well for around five years. I've gamed on it and developed on it as well just fine as a 60hz refresh rate monitor. So, generally speaking no it doesn't matter that much with the exception of maybe hardcore competitive gaming or high end game development or 3D production. If you are going for regular web surfing, document editing, or the like then you can do just fine with a cheaper smaller monitor with no worries.
