Tyler, This is one of our more moderately priced units and wouldn't be the best selection if you are looking to record and player the newer titles with higher requirements. We would highly recommend taking a look at our Rhodium or Palladium lines to find a better fit. As to your second question, this system in the current configuration utilizes a single 8GB stick of RAM. Thank you,
