“Can I use a tv instead of a monitor if so what's the difference”

Garrett, Yes, you can use a TV instead of a monitor. Please be aware that on some machines/TV combos, that the HDMI ports will utilize different revisions, which can lead to getting no signal. More than likely that's a cable issue. Thank you,

Yes, you can use a TV as a monitor, and probably not notice any difference. I don't think you could ever notice any difference unless you added a very good video card and were generating video at a very high resolution, like certain games. I have used a 35" TV as my monitor and it works great, both on the native video card and with a video card I added to the machine.

i dont see any difference besides the fact that you can use any tv as long as it has an hdmi.
