You don't need the ethernet cable aside from using it to connect it to your Wi-Fi. If your wireless router supports WPS you don't even need it for that. You just press the WPS button on the camera and router at the same time and the camera will automatically join the WiFi network. No "setup".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cable is only needed during setup. Once connected you can move the camera around the house "wirelessly" but it still needs to be plugged in to a power outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Initially you have to set up the connection via Ethernet. Once set up, you never need to be connected as long as you set it up for WIRELESS. Its a very, very simple setup.
